In today’s world, hygiene is nothing but a healthy living and maintenance of your health. As everyone thinks, hygiene is not just being clean but also relates to harmony and peace within yourself and the surrounding environment. This means that hygiene should not be restricted to our bodies alone but also needs to be maintained in the surroundings as well.
Maintaining good personal hygiene helps you to prevent from various illnesses by keeping the bacteria, viruses and parasites at bay. Also, hygiene habits make you feel good about yourself and enhance your self confidence.
Health management through practicing some personal hygiene habits includes
• Dental hygiene is a very important factor and if not maintained properly it may create oral problems. Brushing your teeth two times a day helps to keep oral problems at bay.
• Washing and keeping your body and hair neat is very important to keep the disease causing bacteria away from you.
• Clean your hands regularly with a good antiseptic soap.
• Your finger and toenails should be trimmed regularly and kept clean. This will prevent you from certain infections like athletes foot; hang nails and nail bed infections.
• Getting sufficient rest for around 8 to 10 hours every day will keep you fresh throughout the day. Improper sleep may compromise your body’s immune system.
• Genital areas should be kept clean, since they are very prone to infections.
Health management through healthy surroundings include
• Proper waste disposal system can prevent a deadly outbreak of diseases.
• Residential areas should be kept clean
• Do not throw garbage on the roads instead use trash bins.
Practicing hygiene habits in your daily routine ensures a healthy lifestyle for you as well as your family members. Also make sure that your children adopt these hygiene habits in their early stage itself or else teach them.

Every night before I go to sleep, I ask myself this question, “Did I exercise today, did I eat the right foods and did I have a good bath? If answer to all these questions is one big yes, I go to sleep peacefully and get up really fresh the next morning! If you have to feel good, inside and outside, please put these questions to yourself every night and if there is one negative answer to any of the questions, then you have none other than yourselves to blame for it.

Time and again, at every phase in our life, we have been taught the value of exercise, balanced food and cleanliness. But somehow, we tend to take them lightly. If you are healthy and slim, you need to stay that way with regular exercise, right diet and hygiene. If you are feeling weak and have health problems, you need to work out, and eat sensibly to feel better. This is what good health management is all about!
